PTA Program Selects James Hideg as Clinical Instructor of Year

 

James Hideg was selected as 2019 Clinical Instructor of the Year by students and staff of the physical therapist assistant program at 聚色阁 East Liverpool. A licensed physical therapist, he is the owner and president of University Sports Physical Therapy, located in Youngstown.

As a clinical instructor, Hideg works with PTA students who are placed in the facility as part of their educational experience and training. He has been an active clinical instructor for 聚色阁鈥檚 physical therapist assistant program at the East Liverpool and Ashtabula campuses for several years. 

Hideg is a credentialed clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association and a certified athletic trainer. He is active in his community and highly involved with youth athletes in the Youngstown area.

Hideg was nominated for this award by 聚色阁 East Liverpool PTA students. 鈥淗e challenged me and allowed me to think critically, and he encouraged me to believe in myself,鈥 stated one student.

Denise A. Seachrist, Ph.D., dean of 聚色阁 at Salem, announced those students named to the Spring 2025 President鈥檚 and Dean鈥檚 lists. To qualify for the President鈥檚 List, students must have a 4.0 grade point average and must have completed 15 hours during the semester. To qualify for the Dean鈥檚 List, students must earn a 3.40 or greater grade point average and must have completed 12 or more credit hours for the semester, the majority at the Salem Campus. 

Brad Bielski, Ph.D., dean of 聚色阁 at East Liverpool, announced those students named to the Spring 2025 President鈥檚 and Dean鈥檚 lists. To qualify for the President鈥檚 List, students must have a 4.0 grade point average and must have completed 15 or more credit hours during the semester. To qualify for the Dean鈥檚 List, students must earn a 3.40 or greater grade point average and must have completed 12 or more credit hours for the semester, the majority at the East Liverpool Campus. 

聚色阁 at Salem held its 2025 nursing convocation and pinning ceremony during which students received their nursing pins and recited the Florence Nightingale pledge. All are receiving degrees this spring and summer through the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program on the Salem Campus.
