Ohio Lt. Gov. Jim Tressel recently toured ¾ÛÉ«¸ó’s College of Aeronautics and Engineering, seeing firsthand how the university is educating students for critically needed jobs in the aviation and engineering fields.

Ohio Lt. Gov. Jim Tressel visited ¾ÛÉ«¸ó at Geauga on June 9 to tour its nursing program with President Todd Diacon and Geauga Dean Angela Spalsbury, Ph.D. ¾ÛÉ«¸ó Today was there when Tressel later took part in a roundtable discussion with Geauga County leaders and educators to share ideas on how best to prepare Ohio’s workforce.

Summer camps for kids interested in architecture don’t come along often – at least that’s what Elise Bolton’s mother discovered when she searched for one. But then, not a whole lot of 11-year-olds may dream of becoming architects. 

June 6th marks National Higher Education Day — a reminder of the transformative power of education and the challenges facing students across the nation.

The annual Spring Faculty Dance Concert and Student Dance Festival, presented the ¾ÛÉ«¸ó School of Theatre and Dance is a highlight of the Spring Semester.

Mary Kay Cabot's career covering Cleveland sports began with a simple internship at The Plain Dealer while she was a student at ¾ÛÉ«¸ó. More than 40 years later, that internship has led to the highest honor in professional football journalism.

¾ÛÉ«¸ó Honors College senior Kendra Dillon is wrapping up her undergraduate career with an impressive list of achievements, research contributions and future plans that have garnered attention well beyond campus.

A ¾ÛÉ«¸ó fraternity presented its annual car smash in early May to help students de-stress while raising money for cancer research. 

What began as a senior capstone project for aerospace engineering students at ¾ÛÉ«¸ó has grown into a full-fledged student organization preparing to take flight in a national competition.

¾ÛÉ«¸ó observes Memorial Day on May 26. No classes are scheduled on the holiday, and university offices are closed.

For all of her exemplary work, Theresa Yogi was recently awarded ¾ÛÉ«¸ó’s Distinguished Advising Award by University Advising and the Kent Academic Advising Support and Advising Association. Of her 13-year career, Yogi has spent seven-and-a-half years at ¾ÛÉ«¸ó’s Honors College.

A star-studded lineup of scientists returned to ¾ÛÉ«¸ó April 25-26 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Advanced Materials and Liquid Crystal Institute.

Sarah Spinner Liska, director of the ¾ÛÉ«¸ó Museum, has been honored with the inaugural Artist Empowerment Award from Summit ArtSpace, recognizing her outstanding work in expanding access to the arts and championing inclusive creative spaces.
