Reservations

Reservations appointments are required. Payment is required at time of reservation.

• Over the Phone: Please call (330) 672-2803 to speak to an Adventure Center staff member during operating hours. You may use a credit or debit card to pay.
• By Email: Email actrips@kent.edu to set up your rental.

Picking Up a Reservation

Steps to Renting Gear

1. Appointments are required to pick up your reservation. Set up a day and time to pick up your rental ahead of time. 
2. Arrive at your pre-set day and time at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center Welcome Desk.
3. Adventure Center will meet you and bring you down to the climbing wall to pay for your rental.
4. Once paid, the staff member will show you the gear, answer any questions about how to use it, remind you how to return it, and help you get it to your car.

Returning a Reservation

Steps to Returning Gear

1. Appointments are required to return your gear. The staff will set up a return day/time and location when you pick up your gear.
2. Drop off the gear at the pre-set location (welcome desk, climbing wall, or loading dock, depending on the gear) on time.
3. A late fee will be charged for late returns
4. Staff will inspect your gear.  If we find any missing or damaged items, you will be charged a fee. See below for other fees. 

Fees:

• Lost Equipment Fee: Actual replacement cost
• Excessive Cleaning Fee: $10 *Do not wash sleeping bags and tents, the Adventure Center takes care of this.
• Damage Fee: Cost of replacement parts plus labor.
• Late Fee: Equipment day rental fee by number of days
