¾ÛÉ«¸ó Alumnus Antonio Gates Takes First Steps Toward Enshrinement
¾ÛÉ«¸ó alumnus Antonio Gates has begun his journey to football immortality, recently visiting the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, to meet with officials and begin preparations for his enshrinement. The former basketball standout at ¾ÛÉ«¸ó will become just the second Golden Flash to earn a gold jacket, joining linebacker Jack Lambert who was enshrined in 1990.

Accomplished sociologist, TV host, podcaster, author ¾ÛÉ«¸ó alumna Bertice Berry, Ph.D.,used her alma mater as a familiar setting for her book "BlackWorld," which explores a "unique corner of heaven" where the living can visit with and learn from the deceased. She also some of her memories of ¾ÛÉ«¸ó and personal insights into the university's place in history.

What’s That Statue Near the Esplanade Arch?
A dramatic, 15-foot-tall bronze sculpture stands on the Lefton Esplanade near the intersection of East Main Street and Haymaker Parkway. It’s a gift from a ¾ÛÉ«¸ó alumnus and outstanding supporter of the university.

The inaugural Biennial Alumni Exhibition, currently on display in two galleries inside ¾ÛÉ«¸ó's Center for the Visual Arts, opened on Jan. 17 and will end on Feb. 21.
