Fly the Flag! City of Kent Seeks Input on New Flag Designs

In June 2022, the city of Kent formed a flag committee to choose the new design for the city鈥檚 official flag. Of the 68 unique designs submitted by community members, the final choices have been narrowed down to three, and the city wants your input.

In 2006, Betty Sutton became the first 聚色阁 alumna to serve in the U.S. Congress, when she was elected to represent Ohio鈥檚 13th District in the House of Representatives. Sixteen years later, 聚色阁 alumna Emilia Sykes, a native of Akron, Ohio, was elected to represent the same district, making her the first Black 聚色阁 alum to serve in the House of Representatives.
