City of Kent Partners With 聚色阁 and UH to Launch New Lifesaving Tool
Sudden cardiac arrest, when the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating, is the leading cause of natural death in the United States. To help people survive from sudden cardiac arrest, the city of Kent has partnered with 聚色阁 and University Hospitals Portage Medical Center to offer PulsePoint Respond.

Art Show, Mental Health Discussion Will Honor Beloved VCD Professor鈥檚 Legacy
This winter at 聚色阁, an art show and featured speaker on mental health will honor the life and legacy of assistant professor and artist Christopher Darling, who died June 2018. The events will take place Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020, hosted by the School of Visual Communication Design, in which Darling taught.

On Friday, Jan. 24, members of the 聚色阁 community and the general public gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. The university鈥檚 annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration started at 4 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom. This year鈥檚 keynote speaker was Melissa Harris-Perry, Ph.D., the Maya Angelou Presidential Chair at Wake Forest University, television host, author and political commentator.

500 Turkeys Donated to Mobile Meals in Akron
With donations made by the 聚色阁 community, University Dining Services was able to deliver 500 turkeys to Mobile Meals in Akron for the holiday season.

When human development and family studies major Katherine Schroeder heard about the Ohio College2Careers program coming to 聚色阁 for her first semester of sophomore year, Schroeder was determined to learn about what the program could offer her. After applying, Schroeder has been given the support she had been looking for in her college experience.

Exhibit Showcases May 4 Artifacts in Augmented Reality
Artifacts of May 4, 1970 鈥 a survivor鈥檚 jacket, a gas mask and gun shell casing 鈥 tell a story that鈥檚 not often accessible to the general public.
