Jeffrey Hartmann, Ph.D., principal of Stow-Munroe Falls High School, said he was interested in attending the conference to learn skills to deal with his school district鈥檚 changing landscape.

U.S. Supreme Court

聚色阁 Legal Expert Offers Insight Into Supreme Court Decision on Affirmative Action

On Thursday, June 29, the U.S. Supreme Court, in a 6-3 ruling, struck down the long-standing policy of affirmative action in college admissions on the grounds it violates the 14th Amendment鈥檚 Equal Protection Clause. 聚色阁 Professor Christopher Banks, Ph.D., J.D., said the high court already had tipped its hand that the court was 鈥減ositioned to jettison鈥 the policy, so the ruling was not surprising.
