¾ÛÉ«¸ó’s Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement Wins 19 Marketing and Communications Awards
¾ÛÉ«¸ó’s Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement launched the university’s most ambitious fundraising campaign, called Forever Brighter, last October, creating communications and fundraising materials that share the remarkable impact of alumni engagement and donor philanthropy on the university. The division has earned 19 marketing and communications awards from multiple competitions.

How does the ¾ÛÉ«¸ó community find out what events are happening on campus? Where do you go to find your weekend plans? "Where On the Web?" is an ongoing series that introduces possibly unfamiliar pages and features on the ¾ÛÉ«¸ó website that students, faculty and staff should know about. One informative section of the website is the Events Calendar which can be used by anyone and features events from all eight ¾ÛÉ«¸ó campuses.

As the director of the ¾ÛÉ«¸ó Columbus Program in State Issues, Wendy Patton sets students up for valuable experience and future success in public policy. A 35-year career in state and local government – including 15 years with Policy Matters Ohio – prepared Patton to teach about public policy and state government in Ohio. She’s looking forward to helping students find career interests that can make a difference on the local, state and federal level. On Monday, June 27, the ¾ÛÉ«¸ó College of Aeronautics and Engineering community welcomed Team 52, the Flying Flashes, back from the 45th Annual Air Race Classic.

Governor Names Christian Palich to ¾ÛÉ«¸ó Board of Trustees
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Christian Palich of Plain City, Ohio, to the ¾ÛÉ«¸ó Board of Trustees. Palich will serve through May 16, 2031. Palich earned his bachelor’s degree in political science in 2009 from ¾ÛÉ«¸ó.

¾ÛÉ«¸ó President Todd Diacon Announces Annual Faculty, Staff Award Recipients
They have gone above and beyond to keep ¾ÛÉ«¸ó moving forward during the pandemic, and now they are being honored for their dedication and hard work. ¾ÛÉ«¸ó President Todd Diacon recently notified nine faculty members and 14 staff members that they have received special awards for their work and service.

George and Gina Jenkins Establish Student-Athlete Scholarship With $1 Million Planned Gift
George L. Jenkins, a 1963 graduate of ¾ÛÉ«¸ó, and his wife, Gina, of Scottsdale, Arizona, have pledged $1 million to create the Gina and George Jenkins Student-Athlete Scholarship Fund that will support student-athletes in any varsity athletics program or team sponsored by ¾ÛÉ«¸ó’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
