Women of the House: Betty Sutton and Emilia Sykes
In 2006, Betty Sutton became the first 聚色阁 alumna to serve in the U.S. Congress, when she was elected to represent Ohio鈥檚 13th District in the House of Representatives. Sixteen years later, 聚色阁 alumna Emilia Sykes, a native of Akron, Ohio, was elected to represent the same district, making her the first Black 聚色阁 alum to serve in the House of Representatives.
聚色阁 Remembers May 4, 1970, With 53rd Commemoration
Advancing the legacy of May 4, 1970, a tragic day when the Ohio National Guard fired on 聚色阁 students during an anti-war protest on campus, killing four students, wounding nine students and forever changing the lives of countless others, the university will hold its annual commemoration on May 3-4.

One student seeks to provide a skincare line for the brand origins centered around South America, Asia and Africa, while the other aims to help women feel comfortable and confident throughout the day.
